What's Connie up to?
Connie was asked to speak to the
Broadcast Journalism department at
Pt. Loma Nazarene College on April
1st. She will discuss on-camera and voiceover performance.
The
2008 Voicey Awards
were announced on February 21, 2008. Connie was the judge
for the Best Male Voice this year.
Connie was
one of the top
three vote getters in the completely unofficial auditions for the
announcer’s job on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams. The
"contest" was hosted by
Peter K. O’Connell (audio’connell Voice Over
Talent).
More than 60 nominations were submitted by professional voice
talents in just four days. Voters were asked to pick their top three
choices from the submitted auditions, ranked in order of preference.
Dave Houston
garnered the most votes and the top prize - a new USB
microphone donated by a voice talent who requested anonymity. Bruce
Miles came in second place. Read
